Moorhaven village occupies the 65 acre site that was once a Victorian hospital. There are 15 acres of communal grounds with a mix of lawns and trees, including a 0.5 acre cemetery area. A group of residents is converting the cemetery to meadow for a 2 year trial period and elsewhere encouraging wildlife habitats by leaving grass unmown around trees.
