Meadow Waxcaps
Late summer and autumn are usually associated with fungi but this January we have a fabulous display of several hundred Meadow Waxcaps in one of our meadows. They are an indicator species of unimproved grassland and yet another good reason to avoid herbicides , fertiliser and manure on our species rich flower meadows!
