Hello all,
we need to clear out our barn for this years hay, and have some hay from previous years which would be great for composting, if anyone wants any? Free!
Small round bales, easy to lift. We are in South Brent.
If you do, please email: desley@cowsinclover.co.uk
Thanks,
Desley

Hi Desley,
Could you tell me what kit you use for baling. I'm compiling a list of useful kit for small sites.
Many thanks
Tracey

Hi Tracey,
we use a Siromer 25 HP tractor with a small mower, an elderly tedder, and an equally elderly Starr mini baler. Most of the kit came 2nd hand from TRW Engineering near Tavistock: Tim the owner has a large stock of new and 2nd hand equipment, and is very helpful and knowledgeable. He usually goes round the ag shows when they are on.

You can see it all in action here:
I think the tractor is about the smallest that would run that baler.
