Dippers

Spent 20 minutes or so watching two male dippers in a turf war along the river at Gara Bridge last week. Assume they were defending nests. Are there any bird experts out there who can confirm this...or otherwise? Wonderful to witness & more dramatic than "Line of Duty"....

Yes you are right, territories are being hammered out by lots of birds now. Dippers can overlap and disputes between pairs can be common.
