Re: Yellow rattle and other species rich seed available from PL18
Thanks for your reply and raising these points. Absolutely, it's so important to have a patchwork of habitat across our landscapes isn't it, to cater for the myriad needs of all life. We use Dexter cattle to conservation graze areas of our meadows. In those areas we've noticed the grasses becoming s...

Hay cutting at Harewood Farm, East Cornwall
Hi all Our grazier who has cut our species rich meadows for several years is stopping. He will still graze some meadows with a small herd of Dexter cattle but others need to be cut. We like to cut late in the season to allow flower and insect cycles to complete. We are looking for a person sympathet...

Re: Sustainable Farmining Initiative GRH6
Ah thanks.
Yes, I've made a separate application, I knew to do that from a webinar I attended with west Devon information point on this subject.
And I've written to ask if our CWT survey can be used to endorse.
So wait and see I guess.
Cheers.

Re: Sustainable Farmining Initiative GRH6

Did it take you a long time to get endor...

Re: Selling/giving away hay with yellow rattle in it
Hello Jon I agree with Steve. Our meadows are full of yellow rattle, knapweed, achillia and many other wild flowers. We have never had any issues with selling our hay. What we do find is that as the grass reduces and the meadow flowers grow in numbers, the bulk amount of hay that comes off the land ...
