Meadows Conference, 12th July, Chagford

Join us for The Meadow-Makers’ Conference - a celebration of 10 years of Moor Meadows!
Saturday 12th July 2025
9.30am–4.30pm
Jubilee Hall, Chagford, Dartmoor
This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow landowners, farmers, and gardeners for a day of expert talks, inspiring ideas, and practical advice - all focused on the wider context of nature recovery.
Andrew Montgomery: Hay meadow, Dartmoor
Whether you're already managing a meadow or are looking to turn a field into species-rich grassland, or want to make your garden more wildlife friendly, this event is for you. The day explores how to increase biodiversity in meadows and also how to introduce other important habitats, such as wood pasture, as part of a wider approach to land restoration
The event will take place at the Jubilee Hall in Chagford and we’ve some meadow visits lined up during the breakout sessions, so you can enjoy a walk to Padley Common, a community meadow or the ancient Chagford churchyard meadow.
With a fantastic lineup of speakers - Tony Juniper, Chair of Natural England, is the keynote speaker - and a programme full of inspiration, we think it’s an event you won’t want to miss.
Come and join us for a day of learning, sharing, and celebrating all things meadows!
