Grants and help available to improve your land for nature

Are you a landowner/manager or farmer within a National Park, or an AONB? Have you been thinking about projects to improve your land for nature?
There’s a fantastic opportunity open to all landowners and farmers to access grants to make your plans happen, through the new Farming in Protected Landscapes scheme. The programme, developed by Defra and delivered locally through Dartmoor National Park Authority and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB's), supports farmers and land managers in carrying out projects that support the natural environment, mitigate the impacts of climate change and support nature-friendly, sustainable farm businesses.
It is open to all, you do not need to be either farming, or within a stewardship scheme to take part.
The funding is for one-off projects and where there is no commercial gain and may cover up to 100% of the cost.
You can submit for multiple projects i.e. creating a meadow, planting an orchard, creating woodland, creating wader scrapes and ponds, plus archaeological management and improving public access (if relevant).
This funding opportunity is too good to miss.
