Half an acre of Green Burial Meadow in Tavistock....Annual Scything and raking off late August has been done for 3 or 4 years with great results....However our regular master scyther is not available this year and we need someone to scythe with our volunteers who will rake and haystack, some of whom have had a go at scything under instruction, but may not be able to achieve completion of the half acre. Thank you for all your help finding a scyther for the Green Burial Meadow in Tavistock.....it led me to some interesting information and help. .....I had several offers and advice. I chose Phil Harwin to take on the task as quite local and we hope for fine weather on 24th August 2021 to get the job done. All volunteers welcome to help scythe or rake off into haystacks, but do let me know if you'd like to come as being Tavistock Town Council land, they need me to give them a list of who might be there.
