Sighting yellow rattle
My favourite reason to get down on my hands and knees - to see those tiny serrated leaves, just germinated, is for me the greatest joy of spring, the awakening of another exciting year of life in the hay meadows. And for 300m up on Dartmoor, very unseasonably early too.
