We have several Species rich wild flower meadows - listed on the magic.gov site.
If anyone is interested in getting hay from one of these fields to start or improve a wild flower meadow we could bale small bales to order, reasonable price collected from field.
we are in the North Tawton area.

Hello Pip,
I would like interested in some of your bales. Do you have a plan for when you are cutting the meadows?

Re: Wild Flower Hay
Thanks, it will depend on a few things, but expect mid July to August all being well. Yellow rattle just beginning to show and many other plants. Perhaps around mid June you might want to visit and see which field might suit you depending on how many you might require. Each field has various natural mixes. I have several from last year still in barn if required soon.

Heya Pip,
I’d be really interested too in some green hay, we are based mid Devon near Motorhampstead. Can you let us know the cost. Many thanks

Thanks for your reply,
I would be planning to make normal hay Mid July into August approx,
For small bales collected £3.00 each, but will depend on how many you might require as will only bale small bales to order this year on species rich fields. If you wanted the grass cut and baled without turning to make hay - not sure I can do that under the current grant option. Was thinking of buying a seed collector but at £8.5 K plus - rather a heavy investment.
How large a field are you wanting to improve?
Pip
