Sedum for a green roof

Post by bpilbeam »

Enjoyed the presentations at Lifton last night. Very encouraging for those of us on the journey.
I'm looking for a source of affordable sedums for a green roof on a shelter I am building in our orchard .
Any advice welcome. Thanks

Have you looked at sedums on a roll from sedumsupply.co.uk? Or, wildflower turf? See wildflowerturf.co.uk - the turf is made up of 41 UK native wildflowers and grasses, with a minimum of 50% wildflowers. Much will depend on whether your roof will be able to carry the weight of the turf and whether you can cut the lot once a year and rake off!
