Hi Darren,
We used a BSC with a spring 'power' hay rake to rake them up into rows which can then be picked up with a wheelbarrow etc. That said our clods were only light grass roots (remains of the root structures etc) any soil included as big soil clods wouldn't have worked.

I see that I can view it all online but i do like a physical copy of things to thumb through rather than on a screen. Such a shame that great books go out of print making resources harder and harder to come by!! ...
