If we go for a cut-collect option for our orchard grass, what's the best thing to do with the cuttings? Just a big heap that will hopefully compost down (or spontaneously combust!)? Or would it make a useful mulch around the orchard trees? Any reasons not to do this, from the trees' perspective?

Hi! Is there any news about this service, and if/when it will be offered? I need to organise a cut of some sort asap, and this sounds like an interesting option. Our field is a CWS, if that helps . Thanks!

This may be wishful thinking but are there any contractors out there who will cut and remove hay on a small, sloping field? In South Hams in this case...
