Ours is cut by horses pulling our cutter. You might find someone local who's interested in doing this. If not let me know.

Come and see horse drawn meadow cutting!

Hello folks
On Saturday 8th July Will of Dartmoor Horse Loggers and his horses will come and cut our grass. Probably around 9 to 4pm. You are very welcome to come and see and chat with him and have a cuppa. We are near Diptford in south Devon

Jane, cutting with horses would be a great option for some people - can you let us know the type of ground the horses can cope with - flat presumably best? Roughly what size area can they cover in a day? Is there an optimum time of year you prefer to cut with them? Would August be too late as grass...
